Customer Complaint

Engine and charge lights are on and the engine is in limp mode.

Problem Summary

Just had the engine rebuilt. The problem has been present since the engine rebuild.

I have worked out that the turbo is controlled by an actuator on the turbo, there is no boost control solenoid. I have disconnected the plug and checked voltages. There is battery voltage on two and about 3v on the third wire when disconnected codes clear and the alternator light goes out.

I have removed the turbo. I suspect the turbo actuator is faulty but I don't know how to confirm this.
