Customer Complaint

Knocking noise in steering.

Problem Summary

I found out that the little rubber clutch between motor and drive was worn.

I replaced the little rubber clutch between motor and drive (by just lowering down the steering column without removing steering wheel etc.) which initially solved the problem and it worked, however, after a short while the whole system shut down.

Connections are okay, all fuses as well. There is no live data when I go with the scanner into steering functions.

I believe the control module which is flanged on to the steering motor is faulty.
