Hard starting, loss of power when cold.

Problem Summary

Confirmed vehicle is hard to start cold. When finally started and revved, it produces a very loud induction noise as if the airbox has been taken off.

During road test, vehicle lacks power during acceleration whilst producing the loud induction noise.

Symptoms go away when the vehicle has warmed up and it drives like normal.
There were no fault codes.
