Vehicle losing power. Engine light comes on and would not accelerate.

This was an intermittent and ongoing problem.

Vehicle would drive fine and then when hot the Engine Check Light would come on. There would be loss of power and little or no response from the accelerator pedal. Engine RPM would increase to about 12000 rpm and hunt up and down.

Once the vehicle cooled down it would run again.
