Customer Complaint

Check why engine check light keeps coming on after code cleared.
Vehicle has had a replacement intake assembly housing, it then had to have the flap actuator motor assembly replaced as a separate item?

Problem Summary

Customer was interrogated and finally he advised us that "he had done some research" on the web and purchased an intake manifold (Just the manifold) online.
Note: the original was the plastic one and he acquired the same.
He had taken the vehicle to a mechanic to have the intake installed.

A number of issues followed so he spent more time on the internet and found a modification online that is a stopper for the flap motor so it does not overrun.
He then took it to another repairer and asked them to fix it and handed them the modified parts.
That repairer also carried out the owner's request and then it was worse so he fitted a new Throttle flap motor assembly, again non-genuine.

That repairer advised that it was some sort of electrical issue and he should find a sparky to fix it.
