Engine cutting out at idle intermittently, mainly when cruising up to lights or intersection.

Would restart but cranked for longer than usual to do so. Then would splutter and hesitate for a bit while driving but basically came good and would run OK. Problem becoming more frequent {{pic1}}.

Owner brought the vehicle to us after a few trips to his usual repairer with no results.

We road tested it with the owner to clarify the symptoms. Wouldn’t play up initially but after about 5 kms of driving it stalled slowing down at a roundabout.

Restarted but ran rough. Was able to drive it back to workshop but it was clear there was a problem.
