Customer Complaint

No reported drivability concerns prior to repair. Following engine replacement, intermittent crank sensor faults developed, causing tachometer signal loss and eventual no-start with new sensors.

Problem Summary

After a replacement engine was fitted, the vehicle would run well when cold but, once warm, would intermittently lose the tacho signal, drop to half the correct rpm reading, and log P0335 – Crankshaft Position Sensor fault. A genuine replacement crank sensor was installed, but the engine would not start. Reinstalling the original sensor restored starting, but the warm running fault remained.
