The customer reported a loss of power while driving.

The van intermittently lost accelerator response, ran only at a fast idle, displayed diesel knock, and fuel rail pressure spiked to maximum. Cycling the ignition key off and restarting would temporarily restore normal operation, but the fault would soon return. A stored code P0685 (ECM Main Relay) was consistently present after every key cycle.
