The DPF warning light is on and the vehicle has reduced performance.

Problem Summary

The vehicle presented with both the DPF and engine warning lights illuminated. It could not meet the driving conditions required for passive regeneration due to excessive soot accumulation. The engine also produced a ticking noise from the timing chain side. After removing and cleaning the DPF and repairing a cracked EGR pipe, the vehicle was driveable and DPF data readings appeared normal. However, the vehicle intermittently lost power while driving, would not free rev past 2200 rpm, and only cleared and revved normally after 2500 rpm. No fault codes were stored.
