The customer reported excessive white smoke from the exhaust, very rough running, and loud engine rattle when revving. Interestingly, the engine idled smoothly for the first 30 seconds before symptoms began. The customer had purchased the vehicle cheaply after being told by another garage it required a new engine.

The vehicle suffered from severe fuelling and combustion issues. Initial checks suggested injector faults, but as diagnosis progressed, multiple underlying problems were discovered, including EGR, turbocharger, and DPF faults, all contributing to the poor running condition.
