The engine warning light intermittently illuminates with a noticeable loss of power when the light is on. The customer also reports an engine rattle at idle.

The vehicle intermittently entered a reduced power mode when the check engine light appeared. Fault code P2426 – EGR Cooling Valve Control Circuit (Low) was stored. The engine also exhibited a distinct rattle at idle and possible exhaust leak noise near the manifold area.
