Remote key fob not unlocking doors after replacement of the indicator module.

After installation of a new indicator module, the remote central locking stopped functioning. The key fob would no longer lock or unlock the doors, although the ignition and mechanical key operation were unaffected. Attempts to reprogram the key using two different methods were unsuccessful — cycling the hazard switch six times and using the key button combination resulted in indicator flashes but no successful pairing.
