Code Information

This DTC is set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) detects battery voltage on the 4WD Low clutch relay circuit when voltage should not be present, indicating a short to battery. The 4WD Low clutch relay controls engagement of the low-range clutch in the transfer case. A short to battery may cause unintended clutch engagement or prevent proper operation, prompting the TCCM to log DTC P1826.
