Code Information

The 4WD control module, or PCM on some applications, commands the four wheel drive electric clutch through a relay, energising the clutch coil to engage drive to the front axle. DTC P1826 sets when the module detects battery voltage on the relay control circuit at a time when that circuit should be pulled low or inactive, indicating an uncommanded power feed or short to battery.
