Code Information

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module controls a set of hydraulic solenoid valves inside the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) to modulate brake pressure at each wheel. Each wheel circuit uses an inlet (isolation) valve and an outlet (dump) valve, with the outlet valve releasing trapped brake pressure back to the reservoir during an ABS event. DTC C1194 is set when the module detects an electrical failure, such as an open circuit, short to ground, or short to power, in the Left Front (LF) outlet valve coil circuit.
