Code Information

The ABS hydraulic control unit (HCU) contains inlet and outlet solenoid valves for each controlled wheel circuit. The right front (RF) outlet valve releases pressure from the right front brake circuit back toward the accumulator when the module detects impending wheel lock during an ABS event. DTC C1212 is set when the ABS module detects that the right front outlet valve control circuit is shorted to battery voltage, meaning an unexpected supply voltage is present on the control wire that the low side driver should be controlling.
