Code Information

The ABS hydraulic control unit (HCU) contains a set of inlet and outlet solenoid valves for each wheel circuit, which the ABS module energizes during an ABS event to release, hold, or apply brake pressure independently at each wheel. The outlet (dump) valve opens to release pressure from the wheel circuit back to the low pressure accumulator, allowing the wheel to spin back up during ABS modulation.
