Code Information

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module monitors the operation of the number one ABS pump motor through a feedback input circuit that tells the module whether the motor is running when commanded. DTC C1271 is set when the ABS module detects that the motor input feedback circuit has shorted to ground, meaning the feedback signal that should report motor activity is being pulled to chassis ground externally.
