Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors an ignition key in circuit through a switch inside the lock cylinder that completes the circuit when the key is inserted. DTC B1353 sets when the BCM detects an open in the key in circuit, meaning the input cannot reach a closed state when the key is physically present in the cylinder.
