The wiper wash/delay switch is a multi position switch typically integrated into the steering column stalk that signals the Body Control Module (BCM) when the driver requests intermittent wiper operation or activates the windshield washer. The switch normally uses a resistor ladder so each stalk position presents a unique voltage to the BCM input, allowing the BCM to know whether OFF, INT 1 through INT 5, or WASH is selected.
