Code Information

The wiper washer pump motor relay is a low current control element activated by the Body Control Module (BCM) to deliver battery voltage to the washer pump motor when the driver requests wash. The BCM commands the relay coil through a low side driver, and on most modern systems also monitors a feedback voltage at the relay output to verify the contacts close cleanly when commanded and open when released.
