Code Information

The Driver Door Module (DDM), seat module, or Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the seat direction switch assembly that commands the power seat motors. DTC B1545 is set when the controlling module detects battery voltage on a seat direction switch signal circuit at a time when that circuit should be at ground or rest potential. The seat direction switch normally grounds the signal circuit only when the operator presses a direction button, so the unexpected presence of battery voltage indicates the switch wiring has shorted to a 12V source somewhere in the harness.
