The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors voltage on its driver side exterior mirror output circuit and sets DTC B1633 when it detects battery voltage on the output line at a time when the BCM has commanded that line to be grounded or de-energised. This indicates a short to battery somewhere between the BCM output pin and the mirror motor return path, where the affected wire has come into contact with a positive supply such as the door lock circuit, mirror feed wire, or chassis 12V feed inside the door.
