Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) or door control module monitors the output driver circuit that controls the left side outside mirror motor, which is the passenger side mirror on right hand drive vehicles. DTC B1639 is set when the module detects a general electrical fault in that driver circuit, such as an open circuit, a short to power, a short to ground, or excessive current draw when the mirror is commanded to move.
