Code Information

The Smart Junction Box (SJB) monitors the power supply feed to the turn signal and hazard flasher switch circuit. DTC B1872 is set when the SJB detects that the power feed wire to the turn signal or hazard switch is shorted to battery voltage when the circuit should be in a controlled or open state. The SJB controls the flasher logic and expects to see specific voltage levels at the switch input depending on whether the turn signals or hazards are commanded, and a short to battery on this circuit defeats that control.
