B1882 is set by the Restraints Control Module (RCM) when it detects that the passenger side seat belt pretensioner squib circuit is shorted to a voltage source, normally battery positive, anywhere between the RCM output pin and the pretensioner squib. This is the passenger side counterpart to B1878. The RCM independently monitors each squib lead for unintended voltage and immediately latches this code if either lead measures pulled up to a non zero potential when the circuit should be floating.
