Code Information

The Restraints Control Module (RCM) monitors the resistance of the driver airbag squib circuit during normal operation and at every key on self test. DTC B1887 is set when the RCM detects the measured resistance across the driver airbag deployment loop is below the calibrated low threshold, or when the two squib conductors appear shorted together.
