Code Information

This fault code sets when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the supply voltage to the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor has risen above a calibrated upper threshold. The APP sensor normally receives a regulated 5V reference from the PCM, which it uses to produce a signal proportional to pedal position for electronic throttle control. When the reference rises significantly above 5V, usually from a short to a higher voltage source, signal accuracy and throttle control integrity are compromised.
