Code Information

The vacuum cut valve and the vacuum cut valve bypass valve, abbreviated VC/V bypass valve, are fitted in parallel in the EVAP line between the fuel tank and the charcoal canister on these Nissan and Infiniti vehicles. During the evaporative leak diagnosis the Engine Control Module (ECM) closes the purge and vent valves and opens the bypass valve so the fuel tank and canister form one sealed volume for testing.
