Problem Summary

A 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK 3.0L V6 turbo diesel arrived in limp home mode after being towed in from another workshop. The cooling fans were running at fail safe high speed and the vehicle could only crawl up to around 20 kph. Previous repair attempts on the vehicle had included replacement of the alternator, the thermostat and the right hand front door assembly. The check engine light was on with the key on engine off, but no warning lights came on while driving.
