This Audi is a 4.2 V8, six speed manual with the engine code 'CAUA'.
The engine light and electronic power control (EPC) lights were illuminated on the dash and the car lacked power above 4000 RPM.

Problem Summary

In the test drive, there was strong acceleration until around 4000 RPM and then it felt like it was running out of fuel.

It would still rev to 7500 RPM, but it just wasn’t as strong as these vehicles usually are.
