Code Information

This DTC is set when the transfer case control module detects an electrical fault in the circuit controlling the two wheel drive solenoid inside the transfer case. This solenoid engages or maintains two wheel drive operation by actuating an internal shift mechanism. The module monitors the circuit for the expected current draw and voltage when it commands the solenoid. DTC P1876 sets when the solenoid does not draw the correct current, or the circuit is open, shorted, or shows abnormal resistance.
