Code Information

This chassis code relates to the anti lock braking system left rear wheel speed sensor and the toothed tone ring, also called the reluctor or exciter ring, mounted at the left rear hub. DTC C1143 sets when the ABS control module detects an irregular left rear wheel speed signal consistent with a missing or damaged tooth on the tone ring, producing a momentary dropout once per ring revolution.
