Accelerometer Rear Circuit Failure
C1435 — Accelerometer Rear Circuit Failure
System: Chassis | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: Generic
C1435 is a manufacturer-specific chassis diagnostic trouble code. It belongs to the C-prefix family of codes, which covers chassis, braking, steering, suspension, or stability-control faults.
When C1435 is stored, the module has detected an electrical-circuit fault in the wiring, connector, or driver associated with the named component.
Scanning & clearing: Chassis (C) codes are stored in the ABS, traction control, or stability-control modules. An enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is usually required to read and clear them.
C1435 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
The C1435 fault code indicates the suspension control module has detected a fault on the rear accelerometer circuit. The rear accelerometer (also called rear body acceleration sensor or rear ride sensor) is part of the adaptive damping system, providing real time data about vertical body motion at the rear of the vehicle. The module uses this signal along with the front accelerometer and wheel position sensors to calculate optimal damping for each corner. The sensor typically outputs a 0V to 5V analog signal proportional to vertical acceleration. This code is set when the module detects an out...
