Code Information

The seat track position switch tells the airbag, or SRS, control module whether the driver seat is positioned forward or rearward on its track, which the module uses to stage front airbag deployment force for the occupant position. DTC C1947 sets when the SRS module detects that the seat track position switch circuit is shorted to ground, holding the signal at a fixed low level the module reads as invalid.
