Code Information

The dynamic stability control (DSC) system uses hydraulic solenoid valves inside the ABS modulator to apply and release brake pressure at individual wheels during stability, traction, and ABS interventions. The left front (LF) valve controls brake pressure to the left front wheel circuit. DTC C1958 sets when the module detects an electrical fault in the left front DSC valve solenoid circuit, such as an open, a short to ground, a short to voltage, or a solenoid resistance out of specification.
