Code Information

The park lamp relay switches power to the vehicle parking lamps, and its coil is controlled by the body control module or lighting control module. The module energises the relay coil and monitors the coil control circuit for correct operation. DTC C1961 sets when the module detects an electrical fault in the park lamp relay coil control circuit, such as an open, a short to ground, or a short to voltage, or when the relay coil does not respond as commanded.
