Code Information

The chime input request circuit is a low current control wire that the Body Control Module (BCM) monitors to determine when the warning chime should sound. External switches such as the seatbelt buckle, key in ignition switch, headlight switch, and door ajar switches feed into this network so that the BCM can sound the chime when an unsafe or attention condition is present.
