Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the heated backlite (rear defroster) request input circuit, which carries the activation signal from the dashboard switch to the BCM. DTC B1345 is set when the BCM detects that this input is shorted to ground while the switch is in the inactive position, holding the signal at a low state continuously. The heated backlite system uses the BCM to receive the request and then commands a relay or internal driver that supplies high current to the conductive grid bonded to the rear glass.
