Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the headlamp switch input to determine when the driver has selected park lamps, low beam, high beam, or auto headlamps. DTC B1470 sets when the BCM detects an electrical fault on this headlamp input circuit, which may be an open, a short to ground, or a short to battery voltage that prevents the BCM from reading a valid switch state.
