Code Information

The B1532 fault code is set when the Body Control Module (BCM) or memory seat module detects an open circuit on the Memory 1 Switch input. The Memory 1 Switch is part of the driver memory seat or mirror system, allowing the driver to recall stored seat and mirror positions at the press of a button. The module supplies a reference voltage to the switch and expects the voltage to be pulled to ground when the button is pressed; an open circuit means the signal never returns to ground regardless of switch state.
