Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the left rear door ajar switch circuit by applying an internal pull up reference voltage to the signal wire, and the switch grounds that signal momentarily when the door opens. DTC B1574 sets when the BCM detects that the left rear door ajar signal wire is permanently grounded regardless of door position, indicating the signal circuit has shorted to chassis ground somewhere along its length.
