Code Information

The B1577 fault code is set by the Body Control Module (BCM) when it detects a short to battery voltage on the lamp park input circuit. This input wire normally carries a controlled switched signal from the headlight switch indicating the operator has selected the park lamp position, and the BCM expects that signal to remain near 0V when not commanded.
