Code Information

The Restraints Control Module (RCM, also called the Airbag Control Module or SRS module) continuously monitors each airbag squib circuit by passing a small known current through the deployment loop and measuring the loop resistance and integrity. DTC B1900 is set when the RCM detects a fault on the driver side airbag deployment loop, which may be an open, short to ground, short to power, or out of range resistance on the driver airbag squib circuit.
