DTC B2148 is set when a control module monitors an incoming Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal from another component or module and detects that the signal is missing, fixed at a constant level, or outside its expected duty cycle range. PWM inputs are widely used in body and chassis systems to carry information such as switch states, sensor data, or lamp diagnostics between modules along a single wire, with the information encoded in the on time of a square wave.
