Code Information

The fuel pressure control valve is an electrically operated solenoid that regulates the pressure in the high pressure fuel rail. Depending on the system it either meters the fuel allowed into the high pressure pump or bleeds fuel from the rail back to the return, and the Engine Control Module (ECM) drives it with a pulse width modulated signal, normally switching the ground side of the coil while the valve receives a permanent supply.
