Code Information

The fuel pressure control valve, also called the fuel metering or pressure regulating valve, is a solenoid operated valve that the Engine Control Module (ECM) controls with a pulse width modulated low side driver to set the pressure in the fuel rail. The valve receives a permanent or ignition switched supply on one terminal, and the ECM switches the other terminal to ground, varying the duty cycle to hold rail pressure at the commanded target under all operating conditions.
