Code Information

The EVAP canister purge volume control valve on Nissan engines meters the flow of stored fuel vapour from the charcoal canister into the intake manifold, with the Engine Control Module (ECM) varying the valve opening to control purge volume. By controlling this valve the ECM purges the canister without upsetting the air fuel ratio. DTC P1444 sets when the ECM detects an electrical fault in the purge volume control valve circuit, such as an open or short, so the valve does not respond to commands.
