The Restraints Control Module (RCM) applies a low level reference or diagnostic voltage across the right hand front (RHF) airbag squib circuit so it can continuously verify squib integrity without initiating deployment. DTC B0001 sub code 1A sets when the RCM measures that reference voltage on the RHF squib circuit below its expected threshold, which usually points to excessive circuit resistance, a partial short to ground, or a supply fault feeding the squib loop.
