The Restraints Control Module (RCM) monitors the resistance and voltage of the right hand front (RHF) seatbelt pretensioner deployment loop and compares them against a defined acceptable range that represents a healthy firing circuit. DTC B0018 sets when the measured value drifts outside that range without settling clearly into a simple open or dead short, often because the reading is unstable or intermittent.
